Is your child online?

Have you allowed your child to be on the internet? I have noticed a lot of sites lately with Preschool activities and interactive games. I was just wondering how many parents have viewed these sites with their children.

I was on the Nick Jr. website last night, and we visited Blue's Room. They had the cutest interactive activities. I wound up there by accident, and when Jonathan saw what was on the screen, he came and crawled up in my lap and we spend about 45 minutes playing around with all the different activities. I like the PBS Kids website, as well, for activities and coloring sheets.

Italy's new pasttime is the computer. We fight over it constantly. If you get up from the computer seat you better not expect to get it back for awhile.

She goes to nickjr.com playhousedisney pbskids shrek2 myscene
Their games are so much fun. I love to sit and watch her play. And it is great that there is no need to go out and buy the expensive games because there are super great ones right there for free.

my nephew used to play on the internet and games on the computer tons when he was a toddler... now he is 8 and he really really really doesn't read well...

IMO i think the computer makes it easy... they don't have to read anything, just wait for the pointer to turn to a hand and click...but that is just my opinion, i will probably let logan play on learning sites

Emily started playing pc games at 3. They were both blues clues games and taught hand eye coordination and spelling and puzzles. She started on the net at 4 and went to pbskids adn nick jr only. She is 5 now and is a really good reader adn gets around the sites herself by reading the titles of where she wants to go. She plays on barbie now too and pollypocket. They also like the games at lego.com. We have a subscription to disney's toon town and they are allowed to go there for about 30 min a day.we have the chat set so that they cannot chat or see chat from others that is not toon specific.(they have there own sayings that you can click like our emoticons) and we have it password protected. There is no way to go anywhere bad. It is costly but when you divide it by 4 kids it is not so bad.

We don't have a computer at home and I don't let them play on the ones here when they come by, for obvious reasons. But the library has computers with interactive games on them and both kids are pretty good with them.

I don't have a problem with it so far because their time is limited since they only go about once a week. If we had a computer at home I think I would limit their time because I feel the same way as Andrea.
