How do you get a kid the easy way to swallow big peoples medicine?

Give her soda to drink it with! Whatever works!

I got this cup free in the mail from Alegra that has a little pill basket inside the lip. When the kid tilts it up to take a sip, the pill just goes with it. It is really cool and makes it so much easier.
I wish I knew where to actually buy one at.

I don't know what to tell you Jan......Elaine's cup sounds great! Nicholas swallows pills easily, but he did this on his own, because he HATES the taste of meds. For a couple of years, he has refused to take liquid or chewable, he would rather swallow and not taste it

Mine that swallow them just figured it out on their own but I suppose you could put it in jello or yogurt; something that could be swallowed without chewing til they get the hang of it.

My mom taught us to take a sip of water without swallowing it and then tilt our heads back and drop the pill in our mouth before swallowing.

I found this. Sounds similar to what Elaine was talking about. Not too bad for $$$ either.

If it is something to be chewed you might try putting it in some jelly. If it is liquid try chocolate syrup or put it in something you know they will drink. I do Maddie's in her drink daily. I have to give Abby meds in her baby food because she will not take them. And final resort...I have had to hold a child down to take meds and it is not fun.
