Any thoughts for Halloween yet?

I got an e-mail from Lillian Vernon today advertising their Halloween sale. Has anyone even started thinking about Halloween yet? Have your kids said what they want to dress up as this year?

I really think my kids are gonna go as Super Heros (Alexander has said this for quite awhile now). Alexander will be Batman or Spiderman and Elizabeth will be Wonder Woman if I can find costumes for them or make them myself. It would be nice if I can find some Wonder Woman pjs but I don't remember ever seeing any. And I know there are pjs Al could wear but I think he's past that stage and will want a real costume.

Anybody else thinking as far ahead as I am?

The only thought I had had was to get a cooler costume this year. DS's from last was waaay cute, but the poor little guy sweated his butt off !!

We have no idea. The girls change their minds a million times so we do not usually start looking until the beginning of October or so.

Lisa, did they send you a link to the catalog ?

Logan is going to be Tigger... only because we found a costume at Once upon a child for a great deal and it is nice and warm, cuz the kids up here usually freeze their butts off!

Here's the link to their Halloween sale stuff and it will lead you to the rest if you want to see what else they have besides their sales stuff.

Alexander will change his mind a gazillion times, too, I'm sure, so we'll wait until closer to actually get together his costume. But it never hurts to start thinking early! And if we find something that is a great deal and buy it, I'm sure we can "convince" him that that is what he wants to be.

And with our weather, you never know what it's gonna be for Halloween. It could be nice and warm or freezing cold. Frustrating.

I want to have a Buzz and Woody!

Beats me. I know that Brandon will probably want to make the choice this year himself. And no idea for Justin yet.

Ooh, Stephanie!! You may have hit on another idea for my kids. They both love Toy Story 1 & 2 plus the Buzz Lightyear movie and Alexander is ALWAYS playing Buzz (although Zurg is his favorite). Maybe I'll suggest they be Buzz Lightyear and Jessie. Or Zurg and Buzz.

I've been planning it since last year!!! Jordy was too small last year but this year he is big and plump!

And another idea is Peter Pan and Codfish (captain hook!) I know that ones a winner at your house too. Last year I was living vicariously through your Captain Hook because we just didn't have the money.

I have started to think about it but I too am waiting. She right now wants to fly all the time so it will probably have to be something with wings.

I got the same email Lisa. I checked it out and they the fire ruck you slip over your shoulders on sale for $15. I'd love to buy it for Zach this year.
I wanted to dress the kids as a cowboy and indian princess this year but I don't think I can put it together.

We did have fun with Peter Pan and the Crocodile last year and I'm looking forward to doing the SuperFriends this year. Our kids will keep letting us coordinate their costumes every year, won't they?

A cowboy and indian princess would be cute, too. I hope I can find a Wonder Woman costume in Elizabeth's size. I've been looking on-line and can't find any toddler sizes so we may have to wait until she's older to do that one. Maybe she'll be a Powder Puff girl (I think I've seen those costumes in toddler sizes) and Al will be a Power Ranger.

If I can find one, I'd love to send DH and DS as Dr Evil and Mini-Me !

Oh yes, Grant is only two so he doesn't have ideas yet. But he is going to be a skunk lol........I think it will be hilarious.

He was a cow last year, and we make a sign that hung around his neck that said " EAT MOR CHIKIN" It was hilarious, he won the halloween contest for it.

For those of you that don't know there is a resturant called Chick-Fil-a here and its marketing campaign is cows saying eat mor chicken, and of course they cows can't spell so thats what the theme was for. https://www.cfacompanystore.com/reta...ges/8251-l.jpg

Well Nicholas wants to be Supersaen 4 Goku, the hero from the DBZ series. Last year he was Supersaen 1 Goku, I made the costume and it turned out really well. I hope that I can do it again this year, cause the character is totally different
