When traveling a long distance by car, do you sometimes lean your child's car seat way back so they can sleep better? Do you think this safe?”

Our seat dont do that, so I guess my answer is no

Ours don't do that either. Would be nice, though, as long as it were safe. I feel bad when they are sleeping with their heads down or cocked funny. Just looks uncomfortable.

Yes I have to agree with you there Lisa, they do look uncomfortable but yet they are in a deep sleep. Most of the time.

I know connors head hangs way down and he drools and it looks so awful. If i am the passenger i will reach back and push his head back but it ends up back down again

And it doesn't seem to bother them because they wake up and they're fine. Whereas I'd be complaining about my neck bothering me for the rest of the day. Oh to be young again!

Livvie's reclines a bit on its own. I wouldn't recline it any other way than the way it does on its own--a bad install can make the results of any accident worse!

Mine does not do that.. Each kid brings their own pillow and blanket...at least the bigger kids do. And that is how they usually sleep with a pillow on the side.

Yes, we keep ours that way all the time. It does help a little. I think it is safe, because the manufacturer would recall them if they weren't.
