Bebe Sounds Prenatal Listener

Thread Starter
Has anyone had or used the Bebe Sounds Prenatal listener?

I know that it works better in the last trimester than the first two, but I still can't get mine to pick up anything. It picks up the TV from downstairs and the cat in the next room, but I still can't pick up a heartbeat. DH can put his head on my stomach and hear the heartbeat, but he can't get it with the monitor.

Has anyone else had this experience, or do you have any tips? This was given to me. If I had actually bought it myself, I'd be really upset at this point.

Bebe Sounds

I had one of these during my pregnancy also. I think they are a waste of money. All they do is worry the mom to be. I only heard my baby's heartbeat once towards the very end of my pregnancy and it was so faint Im surprised I even heard it at all. For those of you thinking about buying one....dont waste your money. Although, my husband and I had a great time listening to our own hear beats with it.

I had one too and I agree- waste of money. I used it maybe 5 times the whole pregnancy but never heard a darned thing. Although it is good for ease-dropping!

I had one too. It picked up everything but the heart beat. I ever stuck it up to my bedroom wall to see if I could pick up sounds from next door since it seemed to pick up everthing else...lol
A waist of money

I used to get scared in the beginning of my pregnancy (when it was too early to feel Haley move) because I couldn't hear her heartbeat on that thing! By the time it finally worked she was doing flips inside me so I wasn't worried anymore anyway. The only reason I liked it is because during my pregnancy, my husband was in NY, so I would put the headphones on the phone so he could hear her heartbeat.

Sorry to say I agree with everyone else its a wast of money. Although I bought mne at a resale shop so I only spent $10 on it...it worked better towards the end and when I had a full stomach...th dr said the baby had to be facing your stomach for it to actually wrk good so that amy be why it doesn' always wok...my girlfriend was pregnant at the same emand all it did was make her worry and she would call me crying because she thought something was wrong....there wasn't but I think it only seemed to add to her worries.

Junk, junk, junk.

Mine was total junk too. I never heard anything but fuzz and every other little noise in my house.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago and can hear the heartbeat, and the baby moving. I get the room completely quiet, and it works fine.

YAY!! I am glad it worked for you Tara!

Tara I am so glad it works for you and you looked into getting something so you and Mike could hear the baby.

I always wanted one but I had a hard enough time in the OBGYN office for them to hear it with their device.

I am glad it worked for you Tara.

I was afraid to get it because we had so many other worries with soem of our tests coming back bad that I knew I would freak if i couldn't hear the heartbeat and would be calling the doc all the time.

That thing made me worry so much! I couldn't hear anything until I was about 7 months along. It would have been a total waste of money for me except I used to put it up to the phone so Rob could hear the heartbeat since he was in NY . I wouldn't recommend it to any expecting mother.
