Have you ever hosted a baby shower? What games did you Play?
I co-hosted my best friend's baby shower last year. Her mother really wanted to be involved but Stacy was worried that it would be inappropriate so we did it together... my planning/her money.
We chose not to play games because Stacy was feeling yucky and didn't want to be the center of attention any longer than she needed to be.

Yes. We played a couple of games where you unscramble the name of a baby item (letbot = bottle). Then there was one where you had ten baby items on a tray and everyone guessed the price of the items. (It was all stuff that was purchased from her registry, and she got to keep the items when we were finished.) We also had a game where you filled in words to lullabies and nursery rhymes. I don't remember the others.

At my shower this weekend, we had a Baby Bingo game.... you write in items on your card that you think the guest of honor will be given. Then, as she opens the gifts, you mark it off on your card. (had to cover the WHOLE card!) Whoever bingos first, gets a gift.

Then they did one where they passed around a tray of items, you look it over really well, then pass it on. After everyone is done, you write down all of the items you can remember. If you have the most, you win a prize. The guest of honor keeps the items in the tray.

It was fun!

I have hosted a couple. Games: guess the size of mom-to-be with a roll of tissue or toilet paper, then everyone gets a turn to wrap it around momma's belly and whoever is closest gets a prize. This is a great game to make momma center of attention and gets alot of laughs for those that are way too big or way too small. Have also done where you have a bunch of baby items on a tray or table, show for 30 seconds, then everyone lists and whoever guesses the most gets a prize. Also, if you go to a party store (or probably even look on line), you can usually find a bunch of neat baby shower paper games you can print like unscramble, etc. or make up your own. Another I thought was neat at my SIL's was a questionaire about mom and dad (i.e. mom's favorite color, how long have they been trying, etc), whoever gets the most right wins a prize.
