I was very busy this weekend, and that helped keep my mind off Maddie, but still. It's amazing how the time has just gone by so quickly.
We bought two very large bunches of pale pink gladiolus, and put them out at the cemetery and took a bunch home as well.
We thought about where the time has gone, too, and indulged ourselves in a little bit of "what if" and "I wonder how she would have been doing" sort of things.
Sunday, we had altar flowers from church and took them to the cemetery, too. We had her blanket and box of things to go with us, and Matt was again very upset that we can't find the booklet with her footprints/handprints.. he thinks he threw it out by accident.
I can't find it anywhere.
I'm so glad I scanned them in, but it's not the same as having them.
It was a little easier this year, since we do have Livia. And I have to tell myself that Liv wouldn't be here if Maddie had lived; but if Maddie had lived, we may not have had Livia, either. It's all one big trade-off, I guess. I love them both; I just can't have them both.
