Need ideas...costume with a weapon

Gavin wants to have a sword or a bow and arrow with his costume. We have already done a Knight and a Pirate. I like to stay general..nothing too specific like Superman or A power Ranger...

any good simple ideas??

A samuri (sp) person or something similar?

An Indian (think the white dude in the Last Of the Mohiccan) Although that type of costume may be hard to come up with.

How about an old time soldier... didn't they used to fight with swords and stuff back in the day?

How about a 3 musketeer? Does he have any partner in crimes to be the other 2? I know the Disney channel has a thing on the web sight on how to make the costume for play.
