I am using cloth diapers ever since Jerome was about two weeks old (we had to wait for his newborn covers that long) I knew going into pregnancy that that is what i wanted, and i was surprised that my husband went for it. During my pregnancy I did a lot of research (hey, if anyone needs to know the best deal, I email me [email protected]
I am using prefold diapers and I love it. Yeah, every now and then he leaks, but just if I forget to change him in time or if he decides to do his bm's for a whole week(lol). When we go to see my in-laws and stay over night we put him into disposable, and no kidding, within 10 hours he has a terrible diaper rash, which he never gets in his cloth diapers. That alone is reason for me to continue using them. And you do not believe the amount of money I save. I realize that cloths is not for everyone, but I encourage everybody to give it a try. Jerome laughs it, and it saved his little hiny once (he feel asleep on my lap while I was sewing, and I totally forgot about him being there. So when I needed to out new threat in my needle, I "stored" it in what I thought was a pillow, realizing it was his butt. Guess I have to stop working with him on my lap. But hey, they were big enough so it never touched his skin!!)
But serious, if you have questions about it, aks me, I think it is an easy way to save money, once you got used to it. And it definetely is not as hard as some people think.
