3 pounds chicken, cut up
1/2 cup chicken bouillon broth
2 teas salt
1/2 teas peper
1/2 teas poultry seasoning
3 stalks celery, cut into 1 inch pieces
3 small carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 cups packaged biscuit mix
3/4 cup milk
1 teas parsley flakes
Wash chicken, trim excess fat.
Place raw chicken into pot with the large bony pieces on bottom.
Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, & seasoning.
Add celery and carrots.
Cook: 3.5 quart (low 6-8 hrs) or (high 4-4.5 hrs); 5.5 quart (low 6-8 hrs) or (high 3-3.5 hrs);
Combine mix, milk and parsley flakes, stirring until just moistened.
Drop dumplin mixture by spoonfuls (about 8) over steaming chicken; cover; cook on HIGH 30 minutes in 3.5 quart; 15-20 minutes in 5.5 quart.
Do not remove cover while steaming dumplins.
Serve immediately while dumplins are at their best. Makes for servings.
