Hi BabyU ladies, let's talk about Thanksgiving! What's on your menu this year? Are you planning on bringing old favorites? Trying something new? Will Thanksgiving be held at your house?

I always do Thanksgiving--ever since I was married. We do family favorites. I have my family...aunts and uncles and cousin and Mike's parents and sister and her family. y parents live in Fl so we don't see them until Christmas. We make tons of food. Mike, the kids and I go to church in the morning and my aunt come over to tend to the turkey for me. We try to get anyone we can to come withus but unfortunately we get more volunteers to watch the turkey! We eat around 2pm.

Sometimes we experiment with one new dish. I'll have to see if someone has something new I want to try this year.

Not doing it. We pack the kids up and haul them around.

I did it 2x I think and while I LOVE making it - I'd rather take the day off from cooking and entertaining (since working in FF its all ya do)

We usually have it at our house or at Kyle's aunt and uncle's house, but this year we are going out to Los Angeles to my sister's house. Her menu is a little different from ours, but it's not about the food! This is the first Thanksgiving she and I have spent together since she got married over 22 years ago.

We'll be doing a quiet dinner at home just the four of us. I'm sure the inlaws would like for us to come down there, but we get mild food poisoning every time we eat there. I'll be cooking the traditional fare.

We used to go to my parents houe, but they have been going to my grandmothers for the past few years (we don't know how much longer we will have her around). So for the past 4 or 5 years we have been going to Rick's parents house. We bring a few side dishes. This year we are eating at home since we are leaving late afternoon/early evening to take the kids to Ren Fair for the weekend to camp. We are making the Turkey the day before, stuffing, green beans and some kind of dessert.

Den goes hunting with the men in his family in the morning. Lunch time we go to my parents for the normal thanksgiving dinner with my parents and brother. And in the evening we go to Den's grandma's house

We go to Wayne's parents house. I am in charge of desserts and snacks. His dad loves m baking abilities and I always come up with some new cool snacks. Usually creamcheese balls, with chicken or shrimp, buffalo wing dip, Thanksgiving is about family and food!!

I really don't know ... I don't have any plans for Thanksgiving so far this year and I hate to put a bunch of effort into foods the kids won't eat anyway. Kinda depressing.

We'll have whatever my MIL [email protected] throws together.

I work on Black Friday, but then saturday we're going to my aunts house for dinner, and she's making london broil, twice baked potatos, bacon wrapped scallops, and who knows what else!

We are having it here...
I'm not sure what all I'm making yet, because I'm trying to get a headcount on how many are eating here.
I know I'm doing a brined turkey, Jim really missed that last year. Beyond that, anything he requests will be made, plus a few for me (for instance I like mashed sweet potatos or a sweet potato casserole... jim doesn't). I will know for sure what I'm making once I have a good head count.

I met up with my MiL this weekend to go over Thanksgiving menu, for the past few years it's been here at my house. Ian's father is flying in from Albany to spend Thanksgiving with his boys.

Deviled Eggs
Spinach Salad
Some sort of hot casserole dip (TBD)

Turkey
Ham
Gravy
Green Beans
Stuffing
Rolls
Cranberry Sauce
Brown Sugar Carrots

Pumpkin and Pecan pies
and something I had in NYC and wanted to bring home to TX - Vanilla Gelato topped with whip, served with a shot of espresso to pour on top. Delicious!

I'm working that day so I'm sure that we'll probably cook something at work. Adam and the kids may come eat with us but we'll see. They are probably going to go to his mom's and I was told that I'm making cheesey hashbrown casserole for him to take.

We are having Thanksgiving at Steve's brother's wife's sister's house. (Did you catch that?? ...ok to simplify..we are having it at our sister-in-law's sister's house ).

It's potluck so I need to figure out what to bring. I'll take a side dish and a dessert.
