I've been watching Hoarders.  45 minutes of that show and I am ready to clean.  A place can run down fast if you don't keep up with it.  The house next door to mine was the cutest on the block.  The little old lady who lived there landscaped it and made it look really cute. She died and someone new moved in.  After a year of neglect, it is no longer anywhere near the cutest.

I watch this show and I think these people didn't intend for this to happen.  A lot of them (especially some of the women) just let things get away from them.

With having 7 people living in a 1575 sq ft house it takes constant cleaning to keep it up to par. Every single day the dishes get done, the house is picked up and nearly every day the floors are swept. Laundry is nearly every day as well. The hard part for me is the mopping and detail cleaning like wiping off fingerprints from doors, frames and walls and cleaning the baseboards and kitchen cabinets. I'll tell you what though, watching Hoarders DEFINITELY will motivate you to clean-LOL

Since I clean houses for a living sometimes seeing other people's filth really makes me want to come home and clean too. I do final cleans for a guy that flips trailer homes to rent and OMG are they freakin nasty! I just don't see how some people can live in such nastiness. You wouldn't believe some of the gross things I see in those trailers. blech!

My dad used to flip cheap houses, so I asked him what he saw the most.  He said dog poop and trash.  Ewww!

My house and yard are actually a bit much for me.  I have to constantly work on it along with dh to keep it to the standard I like.  I try to sweep everyday, but I get behind when the weather is good, because I use my energy store to work in the yard.  With the fall leaves, it's especially bad since mowing is once  a week, but leaves come down everyday.  I'll be glad when they are finished.  Maybe next year, we'll get  a self mulching mower with a bag.

Having the right tools (like a washer, dishwasher or a self muching mower) sure makes a job easier and faster.

I need some motivation today.  I keep finding more and more hidden messes.  Yuck.
