get anything done with a newborn? I'm just praying for her to nap so I can nap too. I try to set her down to make bottles & she screams her head off. I guess I'll just have to let her whine until I get it done?

Ugghhh... I have a monster headache!

Sam was easy. She didn;t mind sitting in her boucy by herslef as long as the music was on. Now Logan was like Lauren. Wouldn;t let me put him down without a fight.

I had a bassinet that vibrates and I would swaddle him up and lay him in it it had a mobile over the top of it turn the vibrations on and he would cry about 2-3 minutes and then he would stop and be asleep.... My pediatrician said to let them cry for 3-5 minutes before getting them so they can learn to soothe themselves. (easier said than done)

and I have two wonderful kids Hannah and Will!

I never get anything done with a newborn.
MAYBE one load of laundry a day... MAYBE the dishes... somedays I didn't get anything accomplished.

Sydney was really easy, she spent her whole day in the swing and was completely happy (or sleeping).
Livia on the other hand...hated the swing and was a little more demanding. She wanted what she wanted right NOW!

Believe me, naptime quickly becomes your favorite part of the day!

I got her bottles done and actually squeezed in a little lunch (Carnation instant breakfast & a slice of peanut butter bread. )

Now She's debating if she's gonna sleep or not. I hope so. I need a nap!

Alexander was so easy! He took great naps and loved his swing! Elizabeth, however, was much like Lauren. She wanted to be held ALL the time. Luckily Billy was only working at UPS when she was born so he was able to do what needed to be done at home while I held Elizabeth all day and night.

With Nick I used a sling. I could hold him and do most anything(except cook, or anything that would be dangerous while holding a baby).

I learned very quickly that sometimes, it was him or me - and I deserved to be able to get a bite or two in me, and more than a gulp of water or tea. And every now and then, you just gotta go !!

The rest of the stuff - it just wasn't that important - it waited until Jack got home and could help

Jonathan loved his swing and his car seat/carrier. As long as he was in that, you could do whatever you wanted as long as he didn't want to eat.

I just played each day by ear. If I had good sleep during the night I would try and get things done while she slept. If not - I slept too. She was pretty mellow though.

I bought and used a snuggli with my first daughther and it was a LIFE SAVER when I had my second daughter who really did not like to be held by ANYONE but me. I was able to do so much with both of my hands free.

Thankfully the swing was a lifesaver here, but I was lucky if I got a shower cause I was napping when she was

You mean you really can get things done with a newborn??? I had a lot of help. It's hard cause you need to sleep when they sleep so you are rested. Then when they are awake you are feeding or changing diapers. Try setting goals to clean small things each day. As for the rest leave it undone until you get to it or have friends and family help out.

ok, i am feeling strange here. I got more done in the first three months than i had ever done i am no good at sleeping in the daytime so when he napped i did stuff. He also didn't like to be held all that much so when he was awake he was playing or in bouncy chair but not in my arms, he absolutely hated the sling and the snuggli

i hope you figure something out for you and Lauren Kim

The swing was a lifesaver with Gavin and Abby. Maddie and Abby I used my sling A LOT. I also used to put Gavin in a stroller and push him about the house with me. You will NOT be able to get things done and do not even try. Just rest and enjoy your baby. And seriously...nap when she does!

I used a baby backpack and a sling, but honestly, it was a couple of months before I got a whole lot done. I slept when she did. I took her to bed with me to get her to sleep longer and it worked!
