OMG please!!!

there has got to be a way to curb his temper tantrums....they are sooo bad they put Liz's to shame.....I can picture her worst temper tantrum and his is way worse....Liz was NEVER like this....

If I don't pick him up when he wants (which is all the time) he flings himself to the floor and screams

If I walk past him to try and do something he flings himself to the floor screaming

oh and if i try to ignore it...he follows me around the house trying to grab me....and will scream, cry and fling himself to the floor

He is only 1.....I am in so much trouble with him....

I think I need to get my Dr to up my Zoloft I am finding it hard to cope with this all day every day.....this is my life. This all starts first thing in the morning, and doesn't stop until he is in bed

Sorry, don't know what to tell you. I have one of those too. Actually, Payton started flinging herself down on the floor (she hits her head on the floor on purpose-it hurts-and then she screams even harder ) since she was probably 5 or 6mo old and I am NOT kidding! I had NEVER seen a baby so young have a temper tantrum. I just try to ignore her but when she bonks her head really hard on the floor I do tend to give her some kisses but I don't give in to what she is having the tantrum for. She still has the lil fits but not as often although then you just have to wonder if it is b'cuz we are giving in to her too much. She just started this new thing where she shrieks a high pitched scream if she sees something she wants. Gosh, that just goes right through me! I hate it when they do that! So now we are working on that.
Sorry, didn't mean to take over your post!LOL! Just sympathizing with you!

No, Kate had awful tantrums at that age too. We just started putting her in her room or her playpen until she calmed down.

A friend of mine had this problem, exactly the same. She finally pulled out his play pen, and every time he would throw a fit she would put him in the pen until he was done.

Bianca is almost 2 and she just started doing this. All I can say is because I know it's rough. I read somewhere to act like they're not even doing it. Don't tell them "no" and definitely don't give in to what they want. They said that either way you're giving them attention and that's what they're after. Just act like they're not even there. Good luck. I'm sorry you're going through this with your child at such a young age.
