I have a 14 month old that will not sleep in his crib. This is a fairly new problem for me. It has started within the past month. He used to sleep in his crib all the time, until now. When I put him to bed he will sleep until 2-3am and wake up screaming like he was in pain. When I pick him up he goes right back to sleep, but will wake up if I put him back in the crib. The only way he will sleep right now is in bed with me. But the other night he took a tumble to the floor and I am afraid that it will happen again. Can anyone help me make his crib a happy place again????? I would really like to sleep easy and not nervous.

For the next few day's try putting him in his crib when he is awake and then jump up and down to make him laugh then when he is happy take him out, this will build up his confidence and trust, then when he wakes up in the night I would put him back in his crib if he crys hold him again until he is settled I can tell you that in order for him to get used to sleeping all night in his crib again it will take you a good few times of picking him up and putting him down but if you see it through you will reverse the effects it takes patience and commitment but consistancy is the key.
