I need some ideas or suggestions on making cloth diapers. I made Sydney a whole bunch when I was pregnant and I'm wanting to make more to sell.

The ones that I made for her range in all sizes, I made the outer layers out of 100% cotton flannelette and the inner layer a terry cloth liner. They got velcro do-ups in adjustable lengths for sizes and soft elastic around the legs and the back. Then I thought I should have put a layer of nylon in there, so I wouldn't need to use a diaper cover.

If you could have your own diapers made, what would you want in a good diaper? I've got some ideas on what I'm going to do, but I'm looking for suggestions?

I wouldn't have a clue I would rather shell out the money than have to rinse out poopie diapers.

They sound great Leah

For a toddler, I would love to have like pull ups but cloth.
Instead of velcro do ups, just elastic waist band. Can you make some of those? Not that I could buy any all the way from

I wish I could buy one of the ones you've already made. They sound really great. You're so talented Leah

Yes I AM interested...The only problem is, if your price for example is $20 for the diaper and $10 postage and handeling, it would cost me $60 for the exchange pluse $10 for the money order and $5 for postage.

$75 is alot of money for one diaper, unless it's gold plated
Thanks for the offer though Leah

I wish I could buy one

Genie, we'll see what we can work out once I get making them and get a sewing machine first.

Well I would think they need to be a lot cotton so they are breathable. I like velcro cause that makes it so much easier than using pins. Leah let me know what you come up with...I would be interested.
