Things were going just fine until little Miss Emily and Miss PJ figured out how to crawl. Now, they think it's funny when they both go in diffrent directions to get to something they aren't supposed to. So today I remembered that I had a Pack and Play that I only used for about 2 months and attempted to put that bad boy up. Notice that I said attempted. I think Graco has a personal vendetta against me. Anyway, after I fought with the Pack and Play, and I won, I put the girls in it and everything was good for about 5 minutes. That's when PJ decided to grab Emily's face and hear her scream. I broke up that fight and not 5 minutes after that Emily pulled PJ's hair in revenge.
What I once thought was a great idea turnes out to be a bad one. They simply can not play nice together in such close quarters. I think I may have to go buy another Pack and Play, unless one of you ladies can give me another solution.

I really wanted to use the Pack and Play because it would be so nice to be able to go pee without having to worry about what they are getting into. Baby gates are not a solution for us because of the way the kitchen and livingroom are.

Thanks Ladies, but I'm not complaining. This was a very long winded and humurus (to me) post to simply ask how do you contain to crawling infants when you have to pee.

Let me think. It's tough, cuz we did baby gates. Looked like a prison at our house. Maybe 2 pack n plays?! (I can't put them together either, Billy always did. Can one sit in a toddler chair while the other is in the cage?!

Since you already have 1 p&p how about an octagon? This way you can also take it with you or use it as a gate.

It connects in the shape of an octagon and is great to block off portions of the room and separate one twin on one side and one on the other.

We have thought about getting one of those octagon things for outside, but my living room is to small to put it inside because we already have 2 swings, 2 Jumparoo's, a big toy box, a sofa and a recliner. My living room is tiny!

That's funny!!! At least you will get some exercise. lol

My only suggestion is to put one in the pen and take the other one to the bathroom with you!! They would just have to take turns with the free-time!!

We have one of those Supergate things - it was WONDERFUL! Plenty of play space for baby, and I didn't have to worry about what he was doing when I had to pee.

I can just picture the two girls in their individual playpens, throwing toys at each other...

How about those gate things that form the large circle? Then maybe you can divide in half for when they are getting on each others last nerve?

I am not laughing at you, just the thought of the two fo them pulling and pushing on each other.

Two of everything, including play space

One thing I would do Heather, and I really, really wish I had done this differently myself, is do not let them fight it out, stop them everytime they hit each other and let them know it is not acceptable.

We made the mistake of thinking that as the are the same height and weigh the same they really can't hit each other to hard, it is not like a big kid bullying the little one or anything. Biggest mistake I ever made. I truely thought they would hit each other a couple of times, realise that "hey that hurts" and stop. Instead they are 12 years old and still try and beat the living daylights out of each other at least 2 - 3 times a week, it would be more often but we stop it when we see it.

other than that, when I wanted to pee I put one in the play pen and one in his cot, they both cried but I learnt to pee fast , either that or wait until nap time.

I tried looking for it but could not find it...there used to be this toy that was smaller than that big gate thing but it had activitys on the gates....uggg nevermind I am sure I am not making sense.

I don't have any advice.
