I have been working with Ally for AGES on letter sounds and writing simple words. I wasn't sure she was getting it since she didn't seem real interested in what I was teaching her. But today I wrote Mommy Loves Ally. She recognized her name immediately. I started sounding out mommy and she got it right away! Same with Loves!

Then I wrote Cat, Ball and Map. We sounded them out and she got them. Then I had her write them for me and she got Cat and Map perfect. Told me she couldn't write ball cause it was too long! LOL! But I am so proud of her! I was beginning to worry, but I guess she was soaking it up all the time. Now she has me writing a new word every 5 minutes!

How wonderful! Sounds like she did a great job. Since Olivia started 1st grade this year Mikayla has picked up a very big interest in words and writing and letters, so I'm lucky since she wants to learn and really pay attention to when Olivia is doing her homework lol
