What are your least favorite baby names?

Boys -

Ed ( I think Becky can agree on this one. )
John and Mike and Chris (There's nothing really with John or Mike or Chris, but every other guy in my family is a John or a Mike or Chris. I'm just kind of tired of them now.)

Girls -

Evelyn
Doris
Bertha
Mabel (Sorry Granny. I loved you but I think your name is ugly.)
Murtle

I'm with you on Bertha - I had an aunt with that name, and she gave new meaning to the term "hag"

I also can't stand Clementine.

Just because of past associations, I HATE the name Robert.

No offense to anyone who has used these before.

Forrest (reminds me of Forrest Gump)
Paul (past association, not a good thing)
Timothy (same reason)
James (my brother--a brat)
Gary (my dad--an overgrown brat)
Richard (I like this, but had a bad association with a teacher with this name)

Chastity
Mary
Martha
Margaret
Mabel (had an aunt with this name who was a pain!)
Beulah

There are more, but that's all I can think of right now.

I can't really think of any that I don't like. I think a "few" old fashioned names are yucky but they were popular at the time. I suppose in 50 years the names we all used will be ugly by our grandchildren

There are some that make me go hmm...why would you name your child that.
