Do you have any? How many and how long have you had them?

My mom always had dozens of house plants around when I was growing up and I really like them but I'm not that great at keeping them alive. I try and I'm good at remembering to water them but I never know what plant needs what I end up placing them in too much sun light or not enough.
I have 3 right now that I've had for about a year and are doing fairly well. Each one of them has gone through a bad period or two but they always seem to come back if I move them around a little.

I'd love to be the ideal mother but I'm too busy raising my kids.

We have no plants. I killed all the ones I had in the past and Billy has no interest in them- even a cactus! I know they are good to have around, that they help the air in your house, but we don't have any. Billy and I both grew up in houses full of plants so it's funny that we don't have any. I don't even have one here in my office at work.

I have a bamboo plant. They are suppose to bring your home good luck. My best friend bought it for me two years ago at the State fair!

I have a big one that needs to be repotted, right Krista? Actually, that is a fake one that she thought was real.
I kill all of mine so I have ones that are planted in concrete pots now.

Jen!
I LOVE plants but unfortunately so do all the babies that come to my house (or live here!LOL!) Payton and Lily just killed on that I had since I was 13yrs old. I am still kinda hoping that it revives itself. It has been through a lot over the years. I also have two more plants that I have had a long time. One is an ivy vine type plant that we have had since we first got married and before that a friend of ours had it (gave it to us when they moved) so that one is roughly 12-15yrs old. The other one we have only had for 4yrs and kept from DH's uncle's funeral. I have really rotten luck with any kind of live indoor tree though.

I had to put my ivy and my spider plany outside. The cats kept trying to eat them! Both the cats are gone now, but I'm just so used to having them outside that I've never brought them back in.

But I did just buy some potting soil and small pots so that I can repot them and bring some inside. The dog tried to eat the ivy.

I usually have pretty good luck with indoor plants. I just repotted some of mine, so I have to think about this. I have two small pots of small English ivy. I have 5 small pots of another kind of ivy. They are all in my dining room window. And I picked up two hanging baskets last week (one large english ivy and one jew plant).

I have one that was a gift when we bought our house...that was a year ago this week. Thankfully it's the type that doesn't need to be watered often, lol.
