I am thinking about getting some petunias to put in hanging baskets. Is there anything special I need to do to them? I had pansies out there, but the heat pretty much did them in. Someone recommended I get wave petunias. Do they do OK in the heat?

Any tips?

Wave petunias are the BEST. We get them every year.
They EXPLODE with Flowers and grow huge!!!

I would highly recommend them!

Next year that is what I'm getting.

I have found a different kind of petunia...I got a catalog from www.springhillnursery.com in the catalog it is called cascadia petunias...Here is what the description says

"A petunia unlike any you've ever seen before! Extremely long blooming...early spring to first frost...with avalanches of smaller flowers and lush, heart-shaped leaves which cascade as long as 8-10'. Great for ground cover as well as cascading from hanging baskets, containers and walls. An exciting new annual developed in Israel, rarely seen in America. (Not winter hardy)"

OMG I soooo love petunias (although dh doesn't ) when the flowers die you just gently pull off the dead ones and new ones will come back....these suckers spread like wild fire and absolutely love the sun!!
