I love mums...I like the orange color.

I have planted 3...hopefully they will come back next year. I bought some one year and was just too lazy to pull them up during the winter...so they started during green during the spring so I just left them.

I planted a few last week. They are burgandy and orange ..so fallish. The lady at the nursery told me that sometimes they come back, but not to count on it. The last time I planted them, they died out, so there was nothing to leave through the fall. Maybe I'll do better this year!

The other night at wal-mart...I was reading on how to take care of them...it said to water them thru the fall...then the next year from about June on to pinch the leaves...they will come back that fall.

So I guess there's just a few out there that will come back...oh no...I had to move hosta to plant the mums by my door steps so that they would look pretty during the summer being green and all. We'll see.

We gave quite a few in the yard, they have come back every year, and bigger each time. I love mums too.

I love mums. I used to have some at another place we lived. I saw some that I want to pick up this week but I dunno if I'll be able to with Mike still off work
I always only cut them down and covered them like I do my roses. I uncovered them in the spring.

Our neighbors up the road from us sell mums. They are HUGE. Today when I was at the grocery store they had some for $25.00. The same size the neighbor sells for only $5.00 each. We bought $60.00 worth from her last year. I like the orange ones too.

I haven't planted any this year or in the last couple of years. I have to much work with all the fall cleanup. I just have way too many plants as is.
