February's Long Stem Red Rose
Roses have long been associated with romance and the month of February and are commonly given as Valentine's Day gifts.

Cora Marie (Dallas) Long Stem Red Rose (Buxus sempervirens)

The Cora Marie rose is a member of the Hybrid Tea family, traditionally the hybrid that supplies the classic looking long stem cut rose. Its long, slender stem gives way to beautiful red buds that will last for a long time as cut flowers or when left on the bush.

Planting Time:
Plant the Cora Marie rose in March or early April. Make sure to give the bush enough space to grow by planting beds 800 mm x 800 mm apart or single rows 600 mm apart.

Flowering Time:
The rose will flower in June and will continue to flower well into September.

Growing Conditions:
This variety of rose can flower in extremely hot temperatures without damage. The shoots should be staked in early spring to prevent snapping in high winds.

After Flowering:
In October, do some light pruning.

Climate Zone:
Zone 4
