OK it is that time of year again, and I am ready to just burn all my rose bushes to the ground! Them stupid beetles are here again and I swear that I am killing around 100 a day. No exaggeration, every time I go out to smoke a cigerette, I go on a quest with my glass of amonia, dishsoap and water. I swear, I am getting anywhere between 20-40 at a time. There are times where I am getting so many off of one bush it is not even funny. They have eaten EVERY leaf, and I mean every leaf, off my bushes in the front and forget about an actual rose blossom! They are even in the lilies and the gladiola's! I am so tired of seeing them, they just piss me off so much. I can't wait until there season is over, because I have yet to find a cure. You would think they would find a new home when there relatives are being killed on a daily basis BUT NOOOOOOO!! Stupid friggen beetles!

Hmmmm, I wonder if that is what is getting my plants in the front of the house. I found a bug on them a few days ago and it looked like a type of beetle. They are eating all the leaves up and making all my new plants looks all beat up. I have to find something to get rid of them!!!!!!

I am so sorry Jenn, I know that this is frustrating, but I am laughing my a$$ off visualizing you with your ciggie in one hand and a spray bottle in the other surrounded by the dead carcass' of Japanese Beetles!

I found something that really works for me, I haven't had another problem with the little buggers since I bought this:

Rose & Flower Insect Spray by Garden Safe brand. It was about $5 at WalMart and you spray it directly on the bugs and your rose blooms and the leaves. I spray about every week and its worked so far, fingers crossed.

Yeah, we have a lot of them here too. Oddly enough, they don't bother our roses. I plan on going and getting 4 Bag-a-Bugs this afternoon. It's worked like a charm the past couple of years.

We have those bags but when we put them up, it doubles our beetle problem.

They are the most annoying bugs!!!!
They usually eat my japenese maple. So far, they haven't come out up here yet.
ugh... hopefully they won't be that bad this year.

Good luck! I hope you find a way to get rid of them!
