Ok most of y'all know we get foodstamps, right? Right. Well we get like $193 a month (it went dowm from $254 I think b/c of Jerm's raise). I was wondering, how do you think I should plan out my shopping trips? Like, try to make them stretch the whole month, OR should I buy the big things all at once, and use all the foodstamps, like you know meat and stuff, then buy the little things when Jerm gets paid every 2 weeks?

I hope y'all don't think I'm crazy, I'm being very serious!

I would buy the big stuff that you can't afford without food stamps and then get the little stuff evert 2 weeks.

What we do is go for one giant shopping trip to Aldi's (buying double of everything) and then the rest of the month we use what balance we have left and out of pocket.

I agree too. Since I hate to take the kids grocery shopping I only go one major trip once a month and then get the little things like milk or bread as needed.

We do it the same way Krista. WE get all the big things we cannot afford and then pick up other things on an as needed bases

well it sounds like the big shop at the beginning of the month wins out!

i personally would stagger them out, just because i shop every week or so i am not organized to buy a month ahead!

but also i work at the grocery store right? so i am a major impulse shopper
