I've been working on my genealogy pretty intensely for the past few months. I know you are a veteran genealogist, so I have some questions for you. Are you a member at Ancestry.com? Have you done much research with wills, estates or deeds before 1850? Back to 1850, I have found all sorts of good stuff, but before that even the census information is not that helpful. I have this wealthy grandmother back there that my dad has been bugging me about. He wants to know where her father got the $600,000 he left her in 1837. I have no ideas on this one. Have you done much family research prior to 1850? Thanks!

This is so interesting, makes me want to start trying to trace my ancestry!
