Is there anything you regret about your wedding day? A decision you made or something you had no control over?

The one thing I regret is that we have no pictures with Billy's parents. We didn't hire a photographer but asked family & friends to take as many pictures as they wanted and to share them with us (we paid for developing if they let us). We got some wonderful shots and many different views of our wedding and of our wedding party after the wedding.

Because we didn't have a professional photographer, my in-laws thought we weren't going to take the customary photos after the wedding. They left as soon as everyone was out of the church to get to their house where the reception was going to be.

We have pictures with everyone else in the family and with friends, but it would have been nice to have pictures of us with my MIL & FIL at the church.

I don't have many regrets or things i would have changed... the only thing is i would have gone with a dress that was still pretty but actually comfortable... it was so hot and so itchy and i just couldn't wait to get out of it...

i am just not a dress person so i would have been alot more casual.. but parents pay, so you make dad happy with whatever he wants right?

I wish I would have hired a different florist. She put the candle holder things too close to the pews and everytime the people on the ends put the kneeler down (Catholic wedding...lots of stand, sit, kneel! ) they would hit the stands and send hot wax flying onto my guests! My aunt had to go home and change before the reception cuz she had wax all over her dress. And the florist denied any wrongdoing and YELLED at ME! I'm still bad-mouthing them...if ya ever get married in N.O. don't use The Bridal Garden!

My boss is encouraging his two daughters to elope when they decide to get married.

I guess what matters the most is that we married the most special and wonderful men in the world. Even if things weren't perfect, it was the start of a long life together.

We eloped because of all the riff raff and cause our families hated each other and still do!

I am a proud wife to a hard working man Russ
and I have two wonderful kids Hannah and Will!

I would have let my mom go ahead and decorate the church, we didn't do any decorating at all! And I think I wouldn't have had Tropical sno, because it ate up a lot of our honeymoon money. I think I would have had professional pictures done too, we hired dh's uncle, and a lot of shots were really dark. Not to mention, the tape didn't even turn out!
