My baby's sick and we're caught without pedialyte. So I found this recipe for everyone who has a sick child and no pedialyte.

I talked to a ped about that once and they were not comfortable with giving the OK to use it. Be careful!

hmm interesting but I dont know if I would use it.... my dr recommends calling them before giving the kids pedilayte anyway - so if I have to wait for a call back from the dr- I can run to CVS just as quickly - but very interesting!

Baking soda is an old fashioned stomach cure. I'm not sure what the rest are supposed to do.

I thought though that the purpose of pedialyte was to replenish electrolytes from diarhea and vommitting - not to help settle their stomach?? So there must be something extra added to the actual Pedialyte to give them the electrolytes they need- something I dont think you could make in a home made version?
