Remember my post about how horrible Thanksgiving is at my FIL's house?

Well.. I lived to tell about it. The turkey was cooked this year, or at least it *looked* cooked.

But the potatoes were still Hungry Jack. *sigh* If you use instant potatoes, don't get me wrong, cuz I do, too, but for Thanksgiving, I think ya oughta bust out the real thing.

JMHO.

Me, too!!

Ya know, even tho we had 13-14 people at our house, my hand was stiff from peeling 7 pounds of potatoes and mashing the sweet potatoes.
My DH mashed the white potatoes.

And we did all the other veggies, too. So as tempting as Hungry Jack sounded, we still went all out!

That is too funny about the instant potatoes. Next year, tell your FIL that in the meat section of the grocery store, they have a new product, made by Bob Evans, it is fresh mashed potatoe, complete with lumps and all! Awesome, and it is now my favorite way to cheat!!

Glad you survived the meal!
