Grace I let my dd run around bare bummed a bit to get some air to the area. I think keeping the area dry helps a lot too. Which is what the corn starch will do. Poor baby.

Dawn At the grocery store in the baking aisle. It's usually right there with baking soda, etc.

PV2Brittany92Y Where do I get the corn starch?

Dawn Pure corn starch works wonders if the wound is open and raw! TJ has always had tummy issues, therefore, tons of rashes. When it gets really bad, I just used a wet wash cloth to gently clean him, then dry him off and powder him down with the corn starch. Once it scabs up a bit, then switch to the Desitin (ointment is not going to stick well over an open wound until it scabs up). Until his stomach problems clear up, I'd keep something on him to prevent the rash from coming back.

Elaine Thanks.

Yeah I would just get some sort of barrier cream or ointment for it to keep it from getting more irritated and use wet washclothes or paper towells to gently wipe him with instead of baby wipes until it clears up a bit.

PV2Brittany92Y It's just raw spots. It's not actually in his BM. I'll have to pick up some ointment today since I have no idea where I put the stuff I did have. I swear everytime I need something I can never find it but when I don't need it you better believe it's right in front of my face!

BTW Elaine I love your avatar picture of Brenna. She's so precious!

Elaine Is it just raw spots that are bleeding or is there blood in his bms? If it is just raw spots than I would definitely put a cream on it. Zach's rashes would ocasionally get that way when he was little.

PV2Brittany92Y Okay this is what I found this morning when I changed Isaiah's diaper. His rectum was bleeding. I think it's because he had diarrhea for like a month straight off and on. It would go away fro a day or two and then be back for the next several days. I took him in but they said I had to make an appt with his doctor tog et everything checked out. I was thinking okay I'll just wait until his 9th month appt since it's coming up. I woke up to find that. What do I put on it? Will Diaper rash cream work? He also has a rash on his genitals. My poor baby. He doesn't seem to be in any pain but still it's not right.
