melizerd Ryan Seacrest was on one of the morning shows and he's already been contracted to be the next permanent host but he said Dick Clark will be the host as long as he can.

Stink_Momma DH kept saying how sad it was and my friend Lisa said they shouldn't make him do it. I don't think they made him do it, I think I saw him on something and he said he wants to continue doing it. The man is an entertainer, it is his life. I am sure he feels if he justs lets the reins go completely, that will be the end of him.

Jannie He could have just made an appearance. I thought he was really bad too.

dinapooh2 I didn't watch last year, so I didn't have a lot to compare it to. I thought his strokes were more recent than that. Hmmm... Of course they had him fixed up so he still looks good.

Dawn Did he host it alone or was he just a special guest? I watched last year and couldn't understand a word of what he said. Poor guy ... like Elaine said ... it didn't seem like he was ever going to age!

Elaine And to think... for years it seemed the man didn't age at all.

melizerd I think he's had 2 strokes since 2004. His speech wasn't very good at all, but I guess considering it was probably better then a lot of people that have been through what he has.

Zyrilia I have to say, he's doing a lot better than he was last year. Considering he had a pretty serious stroke in 2004, he certainly has come a long way in his rehabilitation.

Shona He must have, I didn't understand half of what he said either.

dinapooh2 ...Or is Dick Clark's health really that bad?

Poor guy. I didn't understand half of what he said. I knew he'd been in bad health, but did he have a stroke this year or something?
