Shona George did ours on Friday night. I cannot wait til we get ours back, but because of my student loans, we also have to file an injured spouse form so it takes about 10 wks.

teacherinct I'm still waiting on my W2 and daycare write offs. Those are big money for us. The city I work for waits so long to send out the W2's. I can't stand it.

knee cole I just got my last W2 yesterday. I do TurboTax. Hopefully I can do it this weekend when Brian's home to distract the kids.

Spaggie Rick was working on ours during work today. He said we owe about $400 before he got to the deductions. He'll finish them when he gets home from work. So we'll get something back (Thank God!), but it won't be alot. As long as it's enough to get both the kids new bikes, I'll be happy.

MeShell Thanks for that site, Krista. My friend is coming over later to use my computer to file her taxes and she was asking for a good site. The only one I knew was Turbo Tax...this way she has a choice!

KJBBDOLL I just finished mine about 10min ago
I have used tax act for about 6yrs+ now and it is GREAT! It's just like turbo tax (the way it walks you through everything etc) and I can efile with direct deposit. State usually takes 2-3 days and Fed usually takes a week.
I have my own business and thought that it would be really difficult filing myself this year but it really wasn't. I haven't paid in all year and I am STILL getting a refund!
Btw-I only pay $16.95 to e-file both my state and federal Ya'll should check out www.taxact.com if you haven't filed yet. Someone here on BBU tipped me on it and I rave about it to everyone!

Wendy I filed mine yesterday and will have my money on the 13th. So far they've always been right about the date they've given us so I hope it holds true this year. I really need it!

Nikki820 We'll be getting ours done as soon as I get my last W-2 and we are using my SIL's accountant (she'll do all 4 refunds we need to do for $100 flat)
(federal, married filing separately, and Clint filing NC and me filing GA)

PICKME4BB Turbotax online and it's down right now. I'm pi$$ed because I had to wait till today to get the tax id for the daycare now that I have it can't get on. BASTA#DS!

DQKaren We have an accountant too. However we are using a new one this year so who knows how long it will take. The old ones always put us off and we never got ours done til September - so we are trying someone new this year. Kev's mtg with them on Friday

Wendy My dad has to do that. He has so many write offs and quarterly taxes and crap that is just better to hand it all to the the accountant and just have his secretary call and say how much money they need....LOL
02-02-2009 03:18 PM
Grace Dh is self employed so we go to an accountant.
