Kate can almost hold up her head. We've been working on strenghtening all her muscles - especially her legs. She does almost all the things a 3 month old should do. She also tries to talk and sing. We are so proud of her! Steve took some awesome pics of her this weekend.

Rachelle's vocabulary has been amazing! She still doesn't pronounce some words correctly, but I kind of expected that...I can understand her though.

AutumnGirl Sydney Riley Marie
Weighs 30.5 lbs
Almost 17 months old!

This past month has definitely had it's up's and down's, it been both tough on Sydney and on me. Sydney has been working on her two bottom molars for the past month and they are both finally through. So that makes for a grand total of 10 teeth! It sure has been slow goin' where those teeth are concerned. She's had alot of troubles with the molars, the cause her to spike a temp. and go into convulsions. Not to mention, she picks up every viral infection that goes around. Last week, she ended up with mouth ulcers (part of that hand, foot & mouth virus that goes around), but nothing on her hands and feet. This week, she's got my cold. She hasn't been sleeping well because of all this, she hasn't been eating much and has just been overall, pretty grumpy.

On a happy note, this has also been an eventful month for Sydney too. She now has a mouthful of words which include, Mommy, Daddy, Gamma (Grandma), Ganpa (Grandpa), book, pup pup (puppy), Leah (my name), gross (new one at the sitter's), purple (that's a new one too), UP, GO, thank you, half of you're welcome "come", naa naa (her Godmother, Elana), na na (as she's shaking her head) which is NO, and she also uses that one for banana. I feel like I'm missing some....

She is quite the little dancer and loves to sing to her baby. She has been in a big girl bed for almost 2 months now and is doing relatively well, considering she's been sick. If we ask her to put something in the garbage, she knows exactly where to go in any given room and she loves to help sweep the floor. Now that the weather is nice, all she wants to do is be outside and when she can't be out, she looks out the window almost all day long. She waves bye bye to everyone and blow kisses, plus she passes out real kisses to anyone that looks like they might be interested. She's gotten pretty good at blowing her nose and thoroughly enjoys pulling every piece of kleenex out of the box.

I guess that's about all I can think of for this month. I had to wait a couple days before doing my check-in, I'm feeling very frustrated with everything because Sydney hasn't been feeling well for so long. Today, we're having a good day, so far.

Wendy Kelsey Mare

Kelsey will be 5 months old on the 14th. She is between 14 and 15 pounds.

She is such a wonderful baby. Been a little grouchy lately but she's been slobbering a ton lately and has a bump on her gums

She rolls both ways now. Kelsey has wonderful head control. You can set her on your lap and she sets up pretty good by herself! She likes rattles and her little stuffed animal(cause she can chew on it and the thing is always soaked from her endless supply of slobbers....lol

She is eating food now with Sweet potatoes being her favorite. She LOVES to eat real food. She is so impatient between bites....lol. She loves to blow raspberries while eating....Lucky me.... She's been blowing bubbles and raspberries for a month and a half or so.

She is a WONDERFUL baby. Very smiley and deep belly laughs. Oh and she is a chatterbug. She is always talking to me, Den and Christian. Christian loves her to pieces.

Joy1 Grant - 6 months
Weight is 21 pounds, 27 1/2 inches tall.

The last couple of weeks have been huge for Grant. He cut his bottom two teeth and has stopped drooling puddles, at least for the time. He started on solid foods 2 weeks ago. After my initial fear that he would never figure out that he needed to open the mouth for me to insert the spoon, he is doing great. I think he would eat anything that wouldn't eat him first (including Grace's Miss Spider book, oops). He is also able to drink out of his sippy cup.

He also is crawling everywhere. About a month ago he started army crawling and then just got up on his hands and knees and started going. He is a mess, I can't believe what a little booger he is at only 6 months. He somehow managed to open the screen door and go out onto the front porch, he can open every cabinet he can reach and loves to empty out the end table where we keep some videos and phone books.

Besides crawling, his other new hobby is spitting. I hope he stops that soon.
He is still totally in love with his big sister. He is big enough now that I can throw them in the bathtub together without worrying about him keeling over, which is sooo nice.
I guess he is also trying to pull up on things. At first I thought he was just trying to pull things down on top of his head. No luck with that yet though, although I have caught him a couple of times in his crib semi-upright.
I guess that's about it, he's growing up so fast.

Not sure on height:

Developing strong personality. Has started hitting when told no, or doesn't get his way. Talking away. Picks up lots of things that I didn't know he knew. The other morning, told me his firetruck was "broke". He knows mommy has baby in her belly and he gives kisses. Gives lots of big hugs. Loves to swim. Climbs on everything. Goes to bed like an angel. Becoming a finicky eater, mostly dinner is now a yogurt and applesauce because he won't eat anything else. Dances. Loves Sesame Street and Elmo video tapes. Plays well by himself.

weighs 30 pounds
(Not to sure about his height)

Latest chaotic efforts—playing in any kind of water he can find, climbing on furniture to get to other pieces of furniture that he shouldn’t be on, playing on the stairs when he things Mommy/Daddy aren’t looking.

Loves outside. Loves walking outside. Especially at Debbie’s house. Loves the sandbox, the swings, the slide, and riding in his coupe car when Mommy goes walking. He used to have problems walking on grass and rocks because he wasn’t familiar with it. But is he doing great getting around outside.

He is saying a lot of “B” words. Sounds like: block, blue, black, boy, Bubba. Starting to make all kinds of “sound effects” (clicking his tongue, hissing, laughing like Webster…). If you count slowly or say the alphabet, he will mimic a lot of what you say. Sometimes if music is playing, it sounds like he is trying to sing. Especially if it’s one of his tapes that he listens to all the time.

He is fascinated with how things work and how they’re put together, or how they come apart. Loves to stack blocks and pull apart legos. Loves anything that makes noise. Toy piano, drum, xylophone, etc. Has started picking up toys and putting them away when he’s tired of them (I’m sure this won’t last long…). Is figuring out the shape sorter thing. (Circle goes in the circle hole, square in the square hole…) Loves the bead chaser things, too…

I thought this was funny…. I got him the Little People farm for Christmas. Saturday, he picked out all the animals from the toy box and put them in the barn and sat the scarecrow and the rooster on their little holes that they fit in on top of the barn.

He has been eating some new things... More vegetables this month. Had home grown green beans from Granny's garden, and he ate more than I did. Loves vegetables, breads, potatoes, and pasta. But since he has been sick some, he is mostly favoring crackers and juice and milk. He likes things that he can feed himself, which gets pretty messy sometimes.

He cut four new teeth this month... All top molars.

Had a doctor appointment on 5/30 to check out his eye infection, and the doctor thought he was looking pretty good, so I am pleased!
