|baileysmama14||Well, DH used to work really late hours, so I would take care of Bailey most of the time, but once we were both in bed....I had to get up and feed her b/c I was nursing. If I had a hard time getting her back to bed, I would take her into DH and he would have to put her to bed. He is still doing this.....he is much better at putting her down for the night than I.|

|Diana||jcboss - i have heard that line from Jamie a good number of times...lol.|

I mostly do.
John says he doesn't hear anything when I'm there, although when I'm working nights he hears OK. He reckons his brain switches off completely when I'm there. He always wakes up when I give him a nudge and does help out, but I don't like to wake him when I'm already up.

|jcboss||I'm the one who gets up witht he little one, when he wakes. DH says " You do such a good job ...... " so that leaves everything to me.|

|SupaMa||I do . . . he acts like he's asleep, when I know better. He thinks he's slick! There have only been very, very few times that he has gotten up in the middle of the night.|

I do because my DH works 3rd shift. I probably still would if he didn't work 3 rd shift , he doesn't seem to hear the baby either.LOL

Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, Me, and then there is me. I think I spoiled him when I was on maternity leave because I always did it, and I still do. I pretty much have the care from 5pm to 6am (when I get home and when I leave for work). I may get a little break here or there, but not so much. I don't want to sound all negative because he is the one who keeps the dishes done most of the time and keeps the house picked up.
But I wish I could sleep in once. Like last night, I was up at 1:30 and have been since. Sleepy!!!!!!

between 11-3 it was mommy
between 3-6 hubby
it worked out well for us because Cuyler had to get up early for work so he went to bed early and got quite a few hours.

|Stephanie||I do! i love doing it and doing the mommy stuff... but sometimes it is too hard to get her calmed down especaially when i cant even keep my eyes open i am so tired! And then Luis gets mad at me for asking for his help. He just irritates me sooooooo bad sometimes!|

|pebbles_21us||DH and I have pretty much the same rule that Dawn has. DH has to get up at 6am for work so anything after 4:30 is all his. He feeds her, changes her and puts her back down. Lately though I haven't been so luckily. She is asleep every night by 8:00pm and sleeps until 6:50 in the morning (and I mean exactly 6:50)|

|ryann2||I used to do the whole night with the boys. Now that I'm pregnant, he does the whole night and I do the 6am wake up. Of course, they have started sleeping through the night now. Isn't that convenient?|

|Stacey||I did. I was nursing our son and also I wasn't working, he was. But on weekends, no way, that was my time.|

|KJBBDOLL||ME! Of course it could be because i carry the milk supply, but i don't mind. We just snuggle up in bed while she nurses at my side.|

|chickadee||Me, Me and Me again!! But i am nursing so it would be me anyway! Good thing is Julia sleeps through the night atleast 6 out of 7 nights and since she was 5 weeks. Thank goodness!|

I get up every time. But if DH was home you can bet his butt would be getting out of bed to help. He is really good about it though. Before he left he would get up and when he was home on leave he got up the whole time. There was not once I had to get up while he was home. Which I laid there awake anyways

|onetoughskirt||I did for the 1st 5wks but me being tired was the cause of soooo many fights. Now he gets up more than I do! It's so cute. He tells me to go back to sleep so I pretend to. Then I stay up listening to him or peeking out of 1 eye. He's adorable with Brendan!|

|daya||We both do. And we also take turns on the weekend.|

|Tara||When mine were little I did it all during the week, because DH works alot of hours. Then on the weekend he would get up one night and I would get up one night that way we both got a full night rest at least once a week. My boys were really good about sleeping so I never had to get up much after they got over the newborn stage.|

|Kristenph||Me!! Neither of our kids woke up much after they were tiny and since I was nursing.... he conveniently couldn't help me out. Now when ds wakes up (almost 3) dh rarely gets up because ds wants me anyway and it will just make ds made if dh come in there. This is his logic, not mine!|

|Diana||I do since Jamie is not there at night but when he stays at night and sleeps in the room near us he does not hear her or so he says. But IF I have to get up at night it is no big deal b/c I just hold her hand and she falls right back to sleep. Or a lot of the time I just wait a few minutes and she falls back asleep herself.|

|Spaggie||During the week it's me, since DH has to get up at 4:30 for work. But he always gets up with Ally on the weekends or stays up with her if I want to go to bed.|

I'm with you Jennifer! LOL Matt says he doesn't hear him! So it's me that gets up.. unless Matt is still up.. then he'll gladly take care of Austin.. (its rare now though..

|knee cole||I do. Supposedly he can't hear much of anything when he is asleep.|

We both do. When Cody was first born, we took shifts. Anything before 2:00 am was mine, anything after that was hubby.
These days it's rare that we have to get up, but it's whoever can manage to get out of bed.
I can't complain in that department -- he's never griped one time about having to stay up half the night with a sick baby!

|mandymarie01||We both do. Dave knows I work hard at home when he is at work, so he does alot of it for me.|
